Update Those Calendars! Your Aevitas Summer Event Schedule is Here!

We have some EPIC summer events planned for the Aevitas Fitness community, and we want to make sure you don't miss any of them! So get your calendars and your sharpies and block off the following dates!

Memorial Day Murph - Monday, May 30th

All The Deets:

The annual even that all CrossFit athletes know and love - Memorial Day Murph is just around the corner! Both Aevitas Fitness locations will be running Murph on Memorial Day.  The plan is to run our schedule almost like a typical Saturday, with two classes beginning at 8:00 and 9:30 AM.  Come to the time that works best for you!

This event is open to all CrossFit and ViTaFIT members! There are plenty of ways to scale the workout to fit your experience level, so come and complete the version that works for you!

Traditionally, this is also a day when some athletes like to bring friends from other gyms, etc. If this is you and you're considering bringing someone, please email us ASAP so we can get a waiver done ahead of time! There will be a $20 drop-in fee, that will go directly to the Wounded Warrior Project.

If you missed the Murph T-shirt/Tank pre-order, don't worry!  We'll have an order form on the day of the event so you can get yours!  Trust us when we say that once you see these shirts, you're going to need one!

Pride WOD - Saturday, June 11th

All The Deets:

Aevitas is teaming up with the Albany Knicks Women's Rugby Club to host a Pride WOD in June!

The official event, which will include a free workout and snacks/shenanigans to follow, will be hosted at our Guilderland location, beginning at 9:15AM. However, we will be completing the same Pride workout at all classes at both locations on Saturday, June 11th.  So if you can't make it down to Guilderland, or can't make the 9:15AM time slot work, you can still show your support!

Non-members are welcome to attend the 9:15AM class in Guilderland for no drop-in fee as part of the official event with the Knicks.  Anyone dropping in must complete an online waiver - so please make plans to show up early, or email us to get a waiver signed in advance!

Summer Party at the Southwick's Farm - Saturday, June 18th

Party Animals

All The Deets:

Help us welcome summer the best way we know how - with an epic outdoor party at the farm! We will have food & beverages, music, lawn games, and a fire pit (for s'mores, duh! It's SUMMER!)

We have a pond for those looking to catch-and-release some fish, chase frogs and turtles, or take a dip to beat the heat.  And of course you can pay a visit to the farm animals: our resident barn cats, a bunch of chickens, and (coming soon...) a few pigs!  Pets are welcome as long as they are human- and animal-friendly, and can be supervised and/or leashed.

Come by for the afternoon and stay as long as you'd like - you can even camp out overnight if you wish! If you're anything like us, once you step foot on the farm you'll never want to leave.  And Karen makes a pretty mean brunch spread... just sayin'!

We have an RSVP form out now.  If you're planning to come please RSVP HERE so we can get a handle on food & beverage needs!

In-House Aevitas Obstacle Course Race - Sunday, July 17th

All The Deets:

We're bringing this event back for 2022, and could not be more excited about it! Coach Jay and the Aevitas Spartan team are designing a fun and interactive Spartan course for beginners and experienced racers alike! The official date is set for Sunday, July 17th, and we will host the race from our Round Lake location.

The event will include THREE race options: a 5k distance, 10k distance, and combined 15k as well! After the race, we will continue the festivities with a barbeque and refreshments at the gym, along with an awards ceremony where the top male and female of each distance will be awarded a prize!

This event is open to the public as well! Race registration will include a t-shirt (or tank) and access to the post-race festivities, as well as one free drop-in class voucher for non-members. Registration for Aevitas members is $25 for the 5k distance, $30 for the 10k, and $35 for the 15k.  For non-members, the registration fees are $35, $40, and $45, respectively.

Not interested in competing, but want to help the Aevitas Spartan program ? You can volunteer at the event, or just come and support the program with a donation (and lots of cheering for the racers, of course!)

Puppy Play Date WOD - Saturday, July 23rd

All The Deets:

You asked for it, so we're doing it! Join us for our first-ever Pupply Play Date WOD on Saturday July 23rd at the Crossings Park in Colonie! Actual location within the park TBD, we'll make sure you know where to go!

This community event will consist of an obstacle course-style workout that you can complete together with your dog!  We also just want to set up a time where we can all get together and enjoy each other's company, along with our furry friends!

We will provide refreshments for humans and fur-babies.  Please be mindful of your pet and others' pets, and supervise/leash your pet while at the event, as appropriate.

We will be benefitting the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society with this event! So bring a cash donation, or donate an item (check out the MHHS donation wish list HERE!). We will collect all items and money and deliver to the Humane Society.

We'll send out an RSVP link for this event soon, so stay tuned!

Aevitas Triathlon - Sunday, August 28th

All The Deets:

Stay tuned as we hash out the details of this one, but we wanted to get it on your calendars NOW!

We hosted this event for the first time last year at Tawasentha, and it went so well we're doing it again! We will be making some slight changes this time around due to lessons learned in 2021, but if you attended last year's event, you should expect something similar!

More details to come as we get closer!
