Get your team together and get ready to throw down at the 2025 Capital Region Rumble on Saturday, October 25th!

Workout #2 has just been dropped and it is going to have your heads spinning!

In this workout, all athletes will be working to complete the prescribed rounds that will test their grit, as well as some coordination!

Workout 2: Strongman Carousel

For Workout 2, groups will split into M/F pairs to complete the work.  While one pair pushes a sled back and forth on a 50m track, the other pair will be carrying sandbags over the box. Once both pairs have completed their work for that round, they switch places and continue!

The catch of the carousel is that the sled weight will increase or decrease depending on the round.  On round one, the sled will begin fully-loaded, and decrease by one plate per round trip until only the placeholder plates remain. On round two, the sled weight will be built back up to the maximum load.

There will be a designated spot for the weight stacks at the 50m turn-around point. Athletes are responsible for unloading/loading one plate each round trip as they pass the turn-around point. Athletes MUST alternate the 50ft sled pushes.

The workout concludes after six total rounds, or when the 12:00 time cap has been reached.

The score for the Strongman Carousel is time to complete the six rounds, with a tie-break (if needed) of total number of reps completed before the time cap.

Division weights are as follows:

Rx: (200/155/155/110/110/65/65/20), SB (100/75), 20” box

Int. & Masters: (160/125/125/90/90/55/55/20), SB(75/50), 20” box

Scaled: (120/95/95/70/70/45/45/20), SB(50)/Slam ball(30), 20” box

NOTE: This workout will be performed outside unless the weather does not permit. In the event we need to move this workout inside, the sled weights *may be altered slightly to accommodate.
