Walk to Support the AFSP 2025

Aevitas is proud to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).  

The organization is gearing up for the 2025 Out of the Darkness Walk this Sunday. Whether you're interested in the walk or not, please keep reading to learn how to get involved with this very important cause.

What is the AFSP

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), has been around since 1987.  The organization's mission is to "save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide".  The AFSP helps to fund scientific research into mental health and suicide prevention, educates the public, advocates for positive public policies, and provides support for survivors of suicide loss and those affected by suicide.

About the Out Of the Darkness Walk (Walk for R.I.T.A)

One such activity that the AFSP sponsors each year is the Out of the Darkness Walk.  These walks are held around the country and serve to bring people in the community together, as well as raise awareness and funds for the cause.

Aevitas Fitness will be teaming up with Garrett Meeson's team this year to complete the Capital Region Walk for RITA in Saratoga Springs.  We hope you're able to join us, but if not, we have other ways you can support the cause below!

Option 1: Walk with Aevitas on Sunday, September 28th

Join us in Saratoga on Sunday, September 28th for the region's Out of the Darkness Walk
