HYROX is here...
...and we are so ready for it!
At Aevitas Fitness, we’re always looking for new ways to challenge our athletes, build well-rounded fitness, and keep training fresh, purposeful, and fun. That’s why we’re excited to officially introduce HYROX training to our class lineup this May!
If you’ve been hearing the buzz around HYROX and wondering what it’s all about, or you’re ready to take on a new challenge, this is your opportunity to jump in!
What is HYROX?
HYROX is a global fitness race designed for everyday athletes. Unlike traditional obstacle course races or sport-specific competitions, HYROX is standardized. Every race, anywhere in the world, follows the exact same format.
Each race consists of:
- 8 x 1K runs
- 8 functional workout stations:
- 1k ski erg
- 50m Sled Push
- 50m Sled Pull
- 80m Burpee Broad Jump
- 1k Row
- 200m KB Farmer Carry
- 100m Sandbag Lunges
- 100/75 Wall Balls

The beauty of HYROX is its accessibility. There are no complex skills or high-level gymnastics movements - just grit, engine, and functional strength.
Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or just looking for a new goal to train toward, HYROX meets you where you are!

On top of that, our facilities are uniquely suited for HYROX-style training. From sled lanes to open floor space to cardio equipment, we have everything needed to create an authentic and effective training experience.

What to Expect from HYROX Classes
Aevitas HYROX classes will be structured, coach-led sessions designed to:
- Build aerobic capacity and pacing strategy
- Develop strength for key race movements
- Improve efficiency across longer workouts
- Prepare athletes for the demands of a full HYROX race
Expect workouts that challenge both your body and your mindset, while still being scalable to your current fitness level.
May Schedule Launch
We’re rolling things out in phases, starting with the following weekly class options in May:
Round Lake
- Tuesdays at 7:00 PM
(Replacing current ViTaFIT and Spartan classes)
Guilderland
- Thursdays at 5:45 PM
(Running alongside Open Gym)
In addition, we’ll be hosting pop-up HYROX classes on weekends at both locations throughout May, giving you even more opportunities to jump in and experience it, as we nail down the best permanent weekend slots!
Looking Ahead to June
As we build momentum, HYROX is here to stay.
Starting in June:
- Each location will add a permanent weekend HYROX class to the schedule
This will give athletes consistent opportunities to train, improve, and prepare for future races.
Try It Out
We want as many people as possible to experience HYROX training firsthand!
- All Aevitas members can attend HYROX classes FREE during May and June
- Non-members are welcome with a drop-in pass
